This isn’t just a beverage; it’s an invitation to ritual and self-discovery. We believe in a “seed to ceremony” approach. Partnering with a dedicated cooperative founded in 1998, we empower indigenous entrepreneurs and support sustainable practices throughout the entire cacao journey.
A Legacy of Sustainable Farming: Our chosen cooperative champions the preservation of traditional methods. Working hand-in-hand with small farmers, they cultivate, process, and harvest cacao with respect for the land and its people. Their core values are our guiding principles:
- Quality Over Quantity: Exceptional flavor and ethical sourcing are paramount
- Biodiversity, Not Homogenization: We celebrate the richness of the Andean ecosystem
- Organic Cultivation: Sustainability practices nurture the land for future generations
- Fair Trade: Everyone involved receives fair compensation
- Social Responsibility: We uphold ethical standards and empower local communities
We recommend the following doses for our Ceremonial Grade Cacao:
10 – 15g: a very light dose, good for those who are highly sensitive to stimulants, pregnant or have health issues that make it hard to process fats
20g: a light dose, good for supporting other practices (meditation, yoga etc) or giving your day a gentle lift; a good ceremonial dose for sensitive people
25g: a medium dose, great if you’re using cacao instead of alcohol or substances on a night out; also good as a lighter ceremonial dose (and ideal for your first time)
42g: a full ceremonial dose, ideal if you want to journey deeply and have drunk cacao before

Rooted In Harmony is a fairly new company that deserves a 5 star for this product. The reason being, first and foremost, what you see is what you get, authentic ceremonial grade cacao. Secondly, this is a particularly potent cacao of Peruvian origin, and has been ethically sourced to the standards that match that of authentic ceremonial grade cacao.
Also to note, is the company themselves and the owners behind it. In a world where things like ceremonial grade cacao are becoming more mainstream, there is alot of unethical behaviour to be the “best” out there. What I highly value about Rooted In Harmony is not only their products, but also the ethical side of their business, which is still in its early stages of the impact it intends to make locally and globally to my understanding.
These guys are aiming to bring things to the world that go far beyond accessible ceremonial grade cacao, and they are taking an honest and ethical approach all around to achieve that goal.
I’ve tried their cacao a few times now. Potent, and very delicious in its taste. (Cacao can be quite or very bitter, this cacao seems to be a bit more timid on the bitter) a small amount goes a long way, and it really is stronger than you would expect.
I usually make 2-4 doses from 42g. Sometimes even 5 or 6, and on very rare occasions, 1 being with this company, I did have 42g which was a sensational journey I could write about for a while…
I highly recommend this company. Another product of theirs I’ve recently tried is Blue Lotus flower. Honestly the best I’ve seen for your money in terms of it being quality, ethically sourced blue lotus aswell as a very, very good price. Best I’ve ever seen it.
